For my UTA FSAE Senior Design project, I helped develop the data-acquisition system and brake actuator for a tabletop dynamometer used to measure brake pad friction up to 1300°F. I sourced and integrated all sensors, including an 8-channel IR temperature sensor, K-type thermocouples, a compression load cell, and a 2000-psi pressure transducer.

I also designed and machined the brake-pressure actuator, using a 10:1 lever ratio to amplify 34 lbf to 335 lbf and reach brake pressures up to 879 psi. Additionally, I developed a Python/MATLAB GUI for real-time visualization of multi-channel temperature, RPM, and brake pressure data with automatic CSV logging.
