I designed a lightweight, solar-powered air quality tester by modeling the enclosure in SolidWorks, applying GD&T for manufacturability, and performing FEA to address structural weaknesses. I prototyped the system using 3D printing and developed the electronics by wiring and programming an Arduino Uno to process sensor data.
The final prototype demonstrated reliable smoke detection up to 15 feet and performed consistently throughout testing. This project strengthened my skills in embedded systems, rapid prototyping, and design validation through both simulation and physical testing.
